Before Operation
Read and understand the Safety section before proceeding.
- Know how to stop in an emergency. See Emergency Stopping.

Check fuel level and add fuel if needed.
📋 NOTE
Use fresh unleaded fuel with an octane rating of at least 87. DO NOT use E85 blended fuels: The engine is not E20/E30/E85 compatible. The maximum ethanol content must not exceed 10%. RC Mowers recommends using a quality fuel stabilizer in all fuel stored for more than 30 days. See Short-Term Storage.
- Check engine oil level and add oil if needed. Refer to engine manual.
- Check hydraulic oil level. See Check Hydraulic System. Check air cleaner. Refer to engine manual.
- Check function of all controls.
Set Cutting Height
Adjust deck height only when blade switch is OFF, and blades have stopped rotating.
- With Engine and BLADES off, push deck lift pedal forward until transport lock engages.
- Insert adjustment pin through desired setting in height-of-cut adjustment system.
- Move deck lift handle slightly forward, release transport lock and slowly release deck lift pedal until it contacts adjustment pin and stops.
Prerequisites for Areas to Be Mowed
- Operator has detailed familiarity with area to be mowed.
- In all areas to be mowed, check for and remove debris or objects that could damage the mower or be thrown.
When Machine is Operating in Robotic Mode
- Use only as described in this manual.
- Always stay 15 feet clear of the mower during operation.
- Stay within 500 feet of the mower while maintaining clear line of sight.
- Keep E-stop controller on your person to prevent injury in the event of a machine failure.
- Pause or turn-off mower before approaching mower through the App or Wireless E-stop, respectively. Never approach an active mower that is moving or could move, as indicated by amber/flashing or pulsing amber lights.
- Do not mow areas that have more than a 15-degree slope.
- Keep children and unauthorized persons away from machine.
- Do not attempt to ride the machine while in Autonomous Mode.
- If a machine exhibits unusual behavior, STOP machine, and contact Customer Support.
- Do not operate machine with faulty or damaged components.
- Operator must maintain awareness of machine environment and behavior.
Position ROPS
Inspect ROPS and seatbelt for damage and loose or missing hardware.
Raise Center Bar
- Remove hairpins from lock pins and remove lock pins from hinge plate.
- Raise center bar and secure with lock pins and hairpins.
Seatbelt MUST be worn when operating with center bar raised.
Lower Center Bar
Lower the center bar only when needed to drive under an object. There is no rollover protection with the center bar in the lowered position. DO NOT wear seatbelt when ROPS is in lowered position.
- Remove hairpins from lock pins and remove lock pins from hinge plate.
- Lower center bar and secure with lock pins and hairpins.
Return center bar to the raised position when clear of obstacles.
